About Breathe Life

Our Story
Breathe Life is a registered non-profit organisation that provides birthing care and developmental education for Rohingya families in need in Penang, Malaysia. We assist women in labor, run prenatal and antenatal classes, and lead moms and babies through our 15-week-long program called First 1000 Days. This program is repeated 4 times in over the course of the child's first two years. In these First 1000 Days groups, we address these four areas: Health, Neurodevelopment, Nutrition, and Social/Emotional Development.
Our team is made up of volunteers in the areas of Birthing, Education, and eventually Mental Health in Rohingya communities. We are qualified in the fields we serve in and foster good ethics and standards.
Our Rohingya translators and helpers are paid for their services, and we seek to develop them in knowledge and skills.
